Why fleets are actually buying these
The driver isn’t productivity — it’s risk. Three connected reasons:

Flail mowers handle thick, woody, mixed-height grass that a rotary mower would either bog down on or scatter unevenly. The tradeoff
At walking-pace forward speed and 419 kg of operating weight, this is not the machine for the flat 5-acre common. If the operator can safely stand on the slope, a tracked walk-behind cuts faster. The AS 1000 Ovis RC starts to be the right answer specifically when the slope crosses what the operator can safely traverse — typically above 30° in dry conditions, and considerably less in wet — and when the vegetation is mixed enough to need a flail rather than a rotary blade.
