Five questions, one shortlist. No quizzes, no marketing fluff, no “personalised buyer journey” with five hidden steps. Tell us your acreage, your terrain, the surface mix, your budget shape, and how you’ll be operating, and we’ll show you the machines that fit — with the reasons behind each one.

How it works

The wizard runs in five steps. None take more than ten seconds; the whole flow takes about a minute:

1. Acreage — how much ground are you actually mowing? Pick a band; we’ll narrow the right tier of machine 2. Terrain — flat, undulating, hillside / banks, or genuine slopes? Drives whether we recommend wheel-based, tracked, or remote-control machinery 3. Application — amenity grass, paddock / rough, sports turf, or mixed? Drives cut quality requirements 4. Operator profile — solo / family operator vs. fleet of multiple operators? Drives the “fit-for-purpose” tier vs the “rugged-against-multi-operator-wear” tier 5. Budget shape — capital outright, finance, or Approved Used? Drives which tier of recommendations we surface

That’s it. The result is a shortlist of three to six specific machines from our range, with the reasons each made the cut and the tradeoffs each carries.

What the wizard isn’t

It’s not a sales-funnel quiz. There’s no email-required step; you can read the shortlist without giving us any contact details. There’s no “your free buying guide” lead-magnet upsell. The wizard exists because some buyers prefer working through a structured shortlist over reading the Application Guides, not because we want your address.

It’s also not a substitute for a conversation. For purchases over £10,000 we’d usually recommend at least an email exchange before placing an order — there are usually working details (delivery access, finance shape, operator handover preferences) that don’t fit cleanly into five questions. The wizard gives you the right place to start the conversation.

When to skip the wizard

If you already know what you want — say, “I’m here for a Kubota Z725KH” — go straight to the shop or the brand page. If you know the format but not the spec — “I need a commercial zero-turn but I’m not sure which one” — the zero-turn category page is the faster route.

If your buying brief sits across two applications, or has a specific constraint that doesn’t fit the standard five questions (HSE-compliance requirements; specific framework alignment; multi-site contractor logistics), skip the wizard and email [email protected] directly.

Privacy

The wizard runs entirely in your browser. We don’t store the answers, don’t pass them to third parties, and don’t use them to seed marketing lists. The only data leaves your machine when you choose to email us about a specific result. Full position on the Privacy Policy page.

If for any reason the wizard isn’t showing — JavaScript disabled, browser too old, slow connection — the Application Guides cover the same buyer profiles in long form. You can always reach a real person at [email protected].
